Dr. Nadav Avner, a Connecticut native, graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular & Cell Biology. He then earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Barry University in Miami, FL and was inducted into the distinguished Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society. He went on to complete a comprehensive 3-year surgical residency training in foot surgery with rearfoot reconstructive and ankle surgery at St. Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT. While there, he served as Chief Resident, performed over 1,500 procedures, and gained extensive experience in all areas of foot and ankle surgery. He has a special interest in deformity correction, bunions, pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstruction, trauma surgery, tendon ruptures, foot and ankle fractures, ankle arthroscopy, sports injuries, and arthritis. In addition, he has specialized training in arthroscopic techniques.
Whether it is conservative care or surgical intervention, Dr. Avner strives to deliver personalized and compassionate care. He understands the importance of tailoring medical care to the individual. He will work with you to coordinate the best treatment plan, supported by the latest technology and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Avner is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
In his free time, Dr. Avner enjoys aviation and traveling, as well as spending time with friends and family. He is passionate about sports and loves playing basketball and tennis. He is excited to join the Winchester community and deliver high-quality care that supports a long-term active and healthy lifestyle.
